Heartstrings Official Fanmeeting Photobook "Interview with Jung Yong Hwa"
Q: How do you feel after deciding to hold FM in Japan?
JYH: First of all, to be able to do something in the name of Heartstrings is enough to keep me really excited. To hold this FM is just a like a dream all long. It’s also the first time for me, not as CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa, but as the identity of Actor Jung Yong Hwa to attend the FM. Felt really ecstatic.
PART 1: LIVE STAGE
Q: In the opening act, Shin Hye and Windflower has performed. How do you feel by watching them?
JYH: I had goosebumps as it reminds me of the scenario that we were shooting. It’s especially astonishing!
Q: Yong Hwa has performed 2 songs as well, what’s the feeling like on stage?
JYH: It’s the first time to perform this song on a live stage; hence, I do feel nervous. It’s also the first time for me to play and sing alone on stage. It has a refreshing feel.
Q: As <Because I miss you> this song often appears in the drama, what’s the feeling like to sing on stage?
JYH: The feelings of filming (HS) are all awaken..Many scenes from the drama came to my mind as I sang this song. Actually, I have performed this song in our CNBLUE Korea concert. However, the feeling (of singing this song) is different from that time.
Q: Besides <Because I miss you>, there are other songs appearing in Heartstrings, which song left the deepest impression in you?
JYH: Needless to say…it’s still <Because I miss you>~~Even though this song portray a sad feeling, but when all the scenarios of shooting surfaced, it’s really memorable.
PART 2: SIEVED CONVERSATION
With the dice-throwing conversation round pushing the FM to climax, there are a lot of questions that has not been answered. Fans are also curious, so please answer them
Q: In the 2 rounds of dice-throwing segment, a lot of “Secret” topic have been chosen, you’re lucky~ (laugh) To be truthful, what is the feeling like with so many secret topic?
JYH: Never would have thought that the secret topics would appear so many times. It’s really a lot~ I think Mr Furuya’s scheme has contributed a lot to this as well~
Q: Firstly, memories of filming (HS), is there any happy or challenging incident that has left a deep impression in you?
JYH: During filming, every day is a happy day for me. The production staffs are all very understanding and great. Even though most of the shootings are done under the unbearable hot weather, they are extremely nice to Shin Hye and me, and to other casts as well. Because of all these experienced and meticulous staffs, we (actors/actresses) were able to end filming happily.
Q: Next, your favourite lines and the reason for liking it?
JYH: [You’ve fallen for Me] This line! Even though there’s a lot of NG while filming, and the script (of that scene) is really awkward, but this is my favourite line.
Q: I should have said sorry back then]..Is there any issue which you would like to apologize?
JYH: I really had a lot of NGs while shooting the scene “You have fallen for Me”, causing the shooting schedule to delay. As at that time, filming and broadcasting are on-going concurrently, I really feel bad for the production staffs…I’m really sorry for what has happened during those days!
PART 3: REGARDING <THE STUPID>
Q: In the drama, there are many band performance scenes. Is it tough to perform together?
JYH: In the drama, it’s not just simply playing of instruments. I also have to take into account of my expression (acting skills), so there’s a certain level of difficulty to combine both together. But, I feel that many of the performance scenes could bring out Shin’s state of mind.
Q: Yong Hwa, please tell us something about The Stupid (behind the scene)
JYH: The bassist Song Se-Hyun is actually the brother of FT Island’s Song Seung Hyun. He’s also my junior in FNC. I’ve seen him coming to this stage from the very beginning. This is his first casting in drama, hence, I’ve took note of him, helping him to ease his nervous mood.
Q: There are a lot of scenes with the Windflowers in the drama as well?
JYH: During our break, we have discussed a lot of music-related topics with the Windflowers. We have learnt a lot of new stuffs from them.Q: The favourite scenes chosen by fans are all exquisite, what do you think? Is it close to what you have chosen too?
JYH: It’s totally different from what I’ve thought of initially~ I’ve never thought that the back-hugged scene would be ranked in such top position.
Q: Which is Yong Hwa’s favourite scene in the Heartstrings?
JYH: Even though every scene is vivid, but the act on Shin meeting his father is most stirring to me. Q: Why do you like this particular act?
JYH: With a cold character, Shin has always been indifferent to what is happening around him. But his “mask” has actually been destroyed when he went to meet his father for the first time. This scene is certainly unforgettable.
Q: Is there any lines that you feel is embarrassing even though you know that it’s just acting?
JYH: That would be telling Gyu Won “You’ve fallen for me”…it’s truly embarrassing
Q: Fictional character in the drama which is closest to your personality?
JYH: Shin is closest to me, totally opposite of my personality would be Jun Hee
Q: Why do you say that you and Shin are most similar in character?
JYH: Shin being very fanatical towards music...this part is the closest to my nature PART 4: AFTER THE END OF FANS MEETING
Q: This FM has ended smoothly & successfully, how do you feel?
JYH: A lot of people have come to support us today. I'm particularly excited and feel fascinated that Heartstrings is well loved by so many people. I will have a sense of satisfaction if audience went home happily after the FM Q: Please say something to Emcee Furuya who has been “heating up” the FM, and having good rapport with both of you during the FM~
JYH: Previously, I've collaborated with Mr Furuya for CNBLUE Concert. I'm really grateful to him for controlling the joyous atmosphere so well. This time round, he has taken really good care of us too. Thanks to him that I'm also enjoying myself in the FM.
Q: This drama is also broadcasting in Japan now, how’s your feeling?
JYH: Previously when I was in Japan, I happened to chance upon the Japanese dubbed Heartstrings on TV in the hotel. It’s really amazing to see fluent Japanese coming out from my mouth (Laugh)..I’m really glad that Heartstrings could be broadcast in Japan.
Q: Lastly, please say something to your fans
JYH: Thanks to everyone’s support that [Heartstrings] is able to be broadcasted in Japan. If we could continue to hold such FM again, I will be very happy, and I’m also looking forward to come to Japan again as Shin! I’m really grateful to everyone who has shown so much support for Shin! [Heartstrings] FIGHTING~!
